Inspired by their shared musical interests, Wouter Kellerman and David Arkenstone brought their distinct creative voices together in a joint project. After two rewarding years of collaboration, Pangaea came to life.

The album takes its name from Pangaea, the ancient supercontinent that existed before breaking apart to form the continents we know today. Its music calls for unity in divided times and encourages a culture of nurturing the Earth and the natural world, taking listeners on an imaginative adventure around the globe.

Now, that adventure enters a new dimension with Pangaea Immersive Realms.

Reimagined in Dolby Atmos, Pangaea Immersive Realms transforms the original album into an immersive listening experience, surrounding the listener with rich instrumentation, evocative melodies, dynamic rhythms and atmospheric soundscapes. Engineered by immersive audio specialist Morten Lindberg and co-produced by Lindberg and Kellerman, this new version brings greater depth, space and detail to the music while preserving the spirit of the original album.

About Morten Lindberg

Morten Lindberg is a two-time GRAMMY® Award-winning Norwegian producer and engineer, internationally renowned for his pioneering work in immersive audio and high-resolution music production. As the founder of the Norwegian label 2L, Lindberg has spent decades exploring the possibilities of three-dimensional sound and developing new ways for listeners to experience music. His work has earned him 42 individual GRAMMY nominations across categories including Best Immersive Audio Album, Best Engineered Album, Classical and Producer of the Year, Classical. He won his first GRAMMY® in 2020 for LUX in the Best Immersive Audio Album category and his second in 2026 for Immersed.

His extensive experience in immersive recording has shaped a unique understanding of how music can exist within a three-dimensional soundscape. Rather than simply placing sounds around the listener, Lindberg approaches immersive audio as an interpretation of the music itself, using space, perspective and detail to strengthen its emotional impact.

For Pangaea: Immersive Realms, Lindberg brought this experience to the immersive mixing process, working with the original recordings to reimagine Wouter Kellerman and David Arkenstone’s Pangaea within an expansive, multidimensional listening environment. Together with Kellerman, he co-produced the immersive version of the album, bringing new depth, perspective and spatial detail to the original music.

At the heart of Lindberg's work is a belief that recording and immersive production are creative disciplines in their own right. As he puts it, “The beauty of the recording arts is that there is no fixed formula and no blueprint. It all comes out of the music.”

About Wouter Kellerman

Wouter Kellerman is a three-time GRAMMY® Award-winning flutist, composer, producer, philanthropist and recipient of South Africa’s National Order of Ikhamanga in Gold, one of the country’s highest honours. Renowned for his distinctive ability to bridge cultures through sound, Kellerman seamlessly blends world, classical and contemporary influences into a musical language that transcends borders and connects people from diverse backgrounds. His music has captivated audiences across six continents and established him as one of Africa’s most influential cultural ambassadors.

A five-time GRAMMY nominee, Kellerman first rose to international prominence with Winds of Samsara. The album topped both the US Billboard New Age Chart and the Zone Music Reporter Top 100 International Radio Airplay Chart, earning him his first GRAMMY Award in 2015. He followed this success with Love Language, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard World Music Chart and received a GRAMMY nomination. His collaborative album Pangaea was nominated for Best New Age Album in 2021, while Bayethe won the 2023 GRAMMY Award for Best Global Music Performance. In 2025, Triveni, a collaborative album with acclaimed artists from India and Japan, received the GRAMMY Award for Best New Age, Ambient or Chant Album, making Kellerman the only individual South African artist to have won three GRAMMY Awards.

In May 2026, Kellerman was awarded the 'National Order of Ikhamanga in Gold', one of South Africa’s highest honours bestowed by the President of South Africa in recognition of his exceptional contribution to the arts and his global cultural impact. Earlier that year, he was also named among the '100 Most Reputable Africans'. Additional honours include the 'All Africa Business Leaders Award' for Sports, Arts & Culture, an 'Honorary Doctorate in Art and Design (Honoris Causa)' from Tshwane University of Technology, the 'Alumni Dignitas Award' from the University of Johannesburg, and the 'Cultural Excellence Award' presented by the High Commissioner of India in South Africa for strengthening cultural ties between South Africa and India through music.

With fourteen acclaimed albums and nine South African Music Awards (SAMAs) from thirteen nominations, Kellerman has established himself as one of the world’s leading instrumental artists. His career highlights include three sold-out performances at Carnegie Hall in New York, appearances in major cultural centres including Berlin, Shanghai, Delhi and Sydney and a performance at the FIFA World Cup Closing Ceremony that was broadcast to an estimated global audience of 700 million viewers. In 2023, he performed for an exclusive private gathering of just nine guests, including the Presidents of South Africa, China and Brazil, as well as the Prime Minister of India. His growing international influence was further recognised with a cover feature in Forbes Africa.

Beyond the concert stage, Kellerman has devoted more than three decades to philanthropy and community upliftment. Through his long-standing support of SOS Children’s Villages South Africa, he has helped provide housing, education and opportunities for vulnerable children. His humanitarian work earned him a nomination for the Inyathelo Special Recognition Award for Philanthropy.

Kellerman has also played a transformative role in developing young South African talent. His collaboration with the Ndlovu Youth Choir on their acclaimed adaptation of Ed Sheeran’s 'Shape of You' helped introduce the choir to a global audience and contributed to their rise as finalists on America’s Got Talent. He later continued this commitment to mentorship through his work with the Mzansi Youth Choir, who likewise advanced to the finals of the internationally renowned competition. Through these initiatives, Kellerman has helped open doors for a new generation of South African artists to reach audiences around the world.

Widely regarded as one of Africa’s most influential cultural ambassadors, Wouter Kellerman continues to use music as a force for connection, collaboration and positive change, bringing together people, traditions and communities across the world.

About David Arkenstone

David Arkenstone brings a sense of imagination and adventure to every project he creates. With more than three decades of experience in the music and entertainment industries, five GRAMMY® nominations and over 70 albums to his name, David has established himself as one of the most prolific and distinctive composers in contemporary instrumental music.

This world-renowned composer and multi-instrumentalist has captivated audiences since the release of his debut album, Valley in the Clouds, in 1987. His distinctive music blends cinematic, orchestral, rock, classical and world influences to create what he calls “soundscapes for your imagination.” From sweeping orchestral works and fantasy-inspired compositions to intimate piano pieces, David’s music is defined by its ability to transport listeners and tell stories without words.

His versatility extends far beyond his extensive recording career. David has composed music for film, television, advertising and video games, including World of Warcraft, as well as music for NBC Sports broadcasts. He is equally at home in the studio and on stage, touring and performing for audiences around the world. “One of the most exciting things about performing live is the interaction I receive from the audience,” says David.

An avid traveller and photographer, David draws inspiration from the landscapes, cultures and experiences he encounters along the way. That spirit of exploration runs throughout his work and continues to inspire new musical journeys. As David says, “I love to take listeners on journeys with me and I’m honored by how powerfully people respond to my music.”
